Ø Brief Project Description:
The project of learning literacy and vocation started on date 20/June/2010 for Firoz Nakhchir District, Samangan Province based on contract No: 83064061 by GTZ subsidy which is implemented by NHJA; and now the report of final activities presented as:
This project covered the 80 persons who could not get literacy in Firoz Nakhchir District due to different reasons, the cooperators of this project are department of literacy of Samangan province, directorate of education of the province and directorate of women affairs which support the NHJA in different section and it is time to appreciate it.
The women are the important class of people that could not benefit from literacy due to dominant tradition, fortunately it was created awareness between people and people themselves were encouraged to give right to their women to learn and be literate, therefore most beneficiaries of this project are women according to wish of people.

· Support from 80 persons who don’t have literacy in district of Ferouz Nakhchir of Samangan province that with pervasive of literacy and profession will have economical incoming to their families and also will enjoy from literacy gift.
· The capacity height and abilities of user persons from this project will change their social condition from bad case to half official, from social which has gathered in training unit focus.
· Creating of work capacity via profession training between users that didn't have hope to have income work, majority of users, cognize training literacy and profession very important and they term incorrect their work that if has income and would not have literacy, but with literacy pervasive and profession, it is hope for students created that can use better from profession that trained with having literacy.
· Unemployment which term one of the main and basic problems and even also caused to insecurities, with pervasive of profession and literacy the users of this project will not be unemployment else and with using works that achieve not self but their families also use from this great benefit which actually it is a very good help for those who are unemployment.
· Unfortunately women were disable, the relative notices which created between people, this suspicion becomes near to its end slowly, for this is that more users of this project constitute women, NHJA on base of people agreement and salvation of local councils termed the women more worthy for use of this project, NHJA before starting project about women infraction being them worthy had memorandum of understanding which made the work easy for worthies judger team at beginning of the project, serendipity with cooperation of local councils more uses of this project is accomplished by the women.
· Women with pervasive of hand sew craft found this ability that with selling their hand supply prepare economical income background for self and their families, on the other hand also the backgrounds of selling hand production in areas the adjustment of this project has prepared, because handcraft main sale in Mazar-e-Sharif and majority of these handicrafts were imported from Kandahar and Herat provinces, merchants and collectors of these craft guided to collect also from project adjustment prepare site, tacit for those student who pervaded these courses, trained two days marketing as proprietary for graduators to how they sell their crafts.
· At the presence of council heads, director of literacy of district and schools teachers and support of GTZ due to adjust this project for students and indirect helps due to provide some of posses for schools, mosques and councils notice has accomplished and the local people thanked for helps of GTZ in way of change in their life and became requester of more cooperation of same projects adjustment in some villages, their majority had underscore because the face of people are good for comparison of projects but because it is not putted in attention of entities and government is worry able for them, they also became requester of more cooperation of GTZ in some parts.
· In literacy part ultimate exam has taken from all students, and small prizes also have given to those graduators that took high scores.
· Certificate granted for all profession and literacy masters who have trained in this project by NHJA.
· For directors and local council deputies which this project had putted under their cover site and of comparison of this project achieved required cooperation also granted certificate.
Ø Project Objectives:
(This project implementation was aiming at):
· Not only the users pervaded the literacy and profession but accidental from matter relate to the human rights, children rights, value of training and education for children, importance of cleanness in healthy of social persons, social contact, law value, TB first aids, dangerousness of Aids, mines dangerousness and some weekly matters as small booklets trained and during this week also would achieved as parable that NHJA with use of former experience also trained students some additional matters from some projects.
· The users at professional trainings with all interests subscripted and all students appropriated two additional days with addition time because of pervading point that they haven't pervaded good.
· Exam has taken from each student in different profession parts to evaluate the works that has accomplished until now.
· At part of literacy in addition to three exams which has taken during the project, one exam also has taken at end that this exam has accomplished under view of master Bakhsh and local council heads and at majority of exams the NHJA agent also was present.
· At evaluation that have accomplished the knowledge of students from given listens were good till pervaded parts of literacy book, but among the students there are margin number that their results are not acceptable, these students while they had not absent and mental space of class has developed as good, but their received results are not acceptable, with all these all students have learned reading, writing, plural calculation and deduction and contusion.
· Notwithstanding the students became little literate, but the period of project was not sufficient and required that the students according to national program literacy training specific book should pervaded which is provided for literacy training, with all these 70% books from the view of lack has taught. In mathematic also the students have good development but according to NHJA planned, the literacy instruction book has not ultimate, because with consideration of period capacity which has considered instructional plan, the period has briefed for finishing teachable book, NHJA has extremity endeavored to use major from this book with add period, because the aim was not completing book, therefore on base of student power for half of end of project separated plan has patterned.
· Poverty is one of the most powers gray and unfortunately operations, with pervading professions which has considered in this project, the users of this project can not only for self but for their family term bread carrier and also hope resource and development and extension. Because each of the professions which has considered is located in the work market namely work site. What that is noticeable is that the people requires about tailor and curtain sew has already should excreted in the center of province, now in district of Ferouz Nakhchir this capacity has created that after instruction of these persons, the people requires of this district residents in nearest their life area excrete.
· Some of profession pervades have market in their areas, all people who were known with carpentry in district of Ferouz Nakhchir, they couldn't make anything more except craft tools and even for making door, window, cupboard, and some people wooden hand made from center of province and the same districts would excreted their requires that only one skillful carpenter had existence that right now he works as a master in this district, with graduating students of carpentry part this capacity will create in all districts due the people provide their wooden handmade by them.
· Manager of literacy instruction in Ferouz Nakhchir has termed this project at own type in surface of related district one of the most successful project, though from 80 persons jointed to this project about 6 their persons exam results at part of literacy instruction for NHJA is not satisfaction, notwithstanding, consequences which has at this period of 5 months, also for local councils and for education of Ferouz Nakhchir, the work was good as wish.
· Majority of local government responsible in coordination with NHJA social staffs have visited from classes that NHJA got control background for local councils and responses of district that have straight contact with work of this project but after times with consideration to culture and environments governs crafts and on base of local council suggestion requested from those who has not responsibility officially and straightly to not visit from classes because majority of sections are womanly.
· Until this time the literacy instruction agent of Samangan province has visited from classes, in this case the caretaker of women affairs presidency of Samangan province with a team of presidency of women have visited from classes and talked with students about their persuasion and some other matter, from the view of mental for female students the visit of positions has positive effect and they more persuade to pay to the literacy and profession instruction.
· The detached party of ministry of education that would control from all instruction affairs of province has visited from project as tacit and in the observations book has written both three womanly classes as more success class.
· In addition to control of four persons team from main office of NHJA that controlled all parts at period of six days, part of monitoring of NHJA visit from all classes and condition of activities once in a month and surveyed from condition of expenditures and also work procedure, the NHJA monitoring team submitted their opinions about advanced plans and also teaching procedures.
· The users of this project had been already thinking like this that they are from consumer persons and are upon society shoulder, but with pervading literacy and profession now some of them can be bread carrier of their families with support of GTZ, the tailor profession is one of the professions that has not availability in Samangan province and even some of the men cloths would provide with hand, with comparison of this project they are ability to provide every kind of cloths with different designs for themselves and their costumers and have economical income for their families.
· Hand sewing which is one of the ancient, famous and full income in Afghanistan, those who trained at this part with suspicious perform important impress at maintaining handicraft and also at growing of their family and site economy. The students of this part who what they have provided and have given gift for visitors, was hopefully and have attained to inventions and important successes with use of catalogs which putted in their authorization by the NHJA till end of project, meanwhile those were buying hand sewing collars and some hand sewed has joined with students and their elders to create bazaar for their supplies.
· Notwithstanding majority of hand sewing for proctors and local residents has given as gift, though a number work that students accomplished has given for themselves.
· In addition to competition plan and catch exam from students in part of literacy, also in profession part with use of different work ways the eulogy backgrounds for better pervading professions has aided and the students who had good supply has putted under abet.
· Carpentry classes, curtain and hand sewing each one at own share for their sites achieved works like door and window making for mosques, providing curtain for schools and councils offices and other works, this work accomplished because that from one side the result of project be positive and on the other hand the people cheer at climax of coordination with some projects.
· The profession persuasive program has authored that the users should pay attention to literacy part, in this base till on base of plan which provided and the students pervaded literacy instruction, its result was good, but the period of project on base of literacy instruction standards that should snuggle 9 months is not symphonic; therefore finishing book of special literacy instruction is not possible in this period, with that also NHJA has not putted base finishing book, but with evaluations of classily and in consult with province literacy instruction part has endeavored more on mental cases and listen suction way by the students.
· NHJA with use of extra study posses for correct knowledge and taking soon of students has made easy the instruction procedure that the used material has not been negative effect from view of mental and even is pleaser.

· According to five months plan which has designed for this project, all parts of plan both from the view of period and activity 100% has adjusted.
· 97 persons have used from this project as straight who 80 persons of them are students and the remain teachers, social staffs, Administrative and service staffs, as approximately 710 persons at the period of project adjustment have indirect, with start of students work at market at period of two years 85% Ferouz Nakhchir people will also use indirect from their work.
· With ending project all terminal exam results hews has collected and with has evaluated the lineage of students with categories, if the school’s students competes according to the local instruction lineage, those who have used from this project as student, 85% of them are putted with fourth instructional class lineage, whereas if according to literacy instruction program literacy instruction develops within nine months, can accept as officially in fifth classes.
· In the period of project adjustment all equips like notebook, literacy instruction material, profession material include of consumable material among wood, glue, dim, slab and some require material according to provide plan and at end of each month requires of next month has also provided, the lacks which has arisen during the obtaining easies that normally has been due ways security condition, problems of lack of some requires in Samangan province, blockades due parades, being ways close because of construction of streets and some problems, is arrives to 3%.
· For all classes required easies like clog for cool water, warmer material, tailor iron, chair for teachers, carpet into classes, machine couch, carpentry couch, grinder and carpentry tools according to plan has provided on time.
· From all classes stewardship has accomplished about their presently and those who were absent has interpolated in the presently file, the highest balance of absent is arrived up to 6 days and 76% percent are 0% absent according to presently file.

Ø Challenges and Problems:
· The delay of governmental organization working in coordination, usually the work of one day is done in one week.
· The lack of needy tools of project in the center of Samangan province which is being purchased from Mazar-e-Sharif city
· Security problem on the way of province to district that should be coordinated with security authority for each trip to district, and takes long time.
· Communication with female students is difficult without their escorts, based on traditions, custom and culture in the area, therefore it should be communicated with local council and Imam of Mosque for seeing of female classes, so is monitored classes that it takes long time.
· High expectancy of people for feedback and achievement of project which the capacity of project does not suggested, but people request more for conduction of similar courses to NHJA provincial office, this action increases our expectation for cooperation and development of literacy and vocational training, but it causes the waste of working time of project.
Ø Recommendations:
What have you learnt during the reporting and what do you want to change in future
· For the purpose of decreasing cultural and traditional sensitivity of people in conducting female classes and planned commuting of monitors in female classes, it is better to conduct meeting with elders of village, it means during training period the legal and religious awareness workshop conducted for council members and their cooperation and support attracted for improving of female programs.
· To pay attention for decreasing the capacity of vocational reserved and students literacy and also for better implementation of approved curriculum of Ministry of Education and literacy deputy, it is better that the literacy and vocational training period takes 9 months.
· For the purpose of improving practical work method of literacy and vocational training should be during 9 months training period the more courses conducted and more possibilities invested this regard.
· For the purpose of attracting and permanent cooperation of local elders in conducting classes and ongoing outline from monitoring and development educational system to achieve good result, it is better that some Imams and local elders get benefits during training of beneficiaries.
· For the purpose of positive changing in teaching method, effective experiences and educational system development of literacy teachers, it is better to conducted 3 days workshop for capacity building of teachers at the start and medium of 9 month period of training.
This action is increasing the knowledge capacity of teachers and on the other hand is created the transferring of experiences among teachers, confidence among teachers.
Teachers can revise their previous unsuccessful method and bring positive changing in teaching method.
